The hard copies of our new EP, Loose Ends, just arrived in the mail!  The record is officially out on DEC 16th (with digital versions somewhat secretly available right now).  You’ll be able to get your hands on a copy in person at a big blow out party we’re having at MERCURY LOUNGE on Wednesday, DEC. 17th with The Bon Savants and label mates Ford & Fitzroy (who, btw, just released their own record yesterday).  You know you can’t wait!

We got the mastered version of our new EP back from Jon at Spleenless Mastering today.  Very very excited.  Can’t wait to get this out to you guys.  4 new songs.  We’re in the process of talking over names for the release now, here’s the tracklisting though for those that are interested:

So, it’s been a while now since our last post.  Why?  Well…  We’ve been in the studio.  We’re back in with Jim at The Fort out in good ole’ Bushwick, Brooklyn.  We’re currently about 75% done recording for a new EP.  Things are sounding fan-goddamn-tastic!  We’re lovin’ it…  and believe me when I say, you will too!  Keep yer’selves calm…  It will be here very very soon.  More on this and other stuff on the way.  Til then…

Up The Empire will be performing in NYC on Tuesday, Feb 5th at The Delancey.  More details are to follow, but, from what we here… this show will be FREE and there will be an OPEN BAR.  Sounds good enough to get us there!
